Rizdvo
Khrystos Rozhdayet’sya.
Rizdvo, Ukraine’s Christmas celebration, blends ancient customs with heartfelt spirituality. Families gather for a traditional Sviata Vecheria (Holy Supper) of twelve symbolic dishes, honouring the apostles. Expect enchanting carols, called koliadky, and the cheerful greeting “Khrystos Rozhdayet’sya!” (“Christ is born!”) echoing through snowy villages, capturing the magic of this sacred season.
