Jólabókaflóðið
Where the joy of giving and the love of reading unite
This is a unique Icelandic tradition where books are given as holiday gifts, filling homes with the joy of reading during the festive season. It began during World War II when imports were limited, but paper was affordable, making books perfect presents. Today, it celebrates the love of literature and cultural sharing.
